Physical, Occupational & Massage Therapy Programs

Olympic Sports & Spine offers a wide variety of physical, occupational, and massage therapy services at our 20 locations around the South Puget Sound. All therapy programs are customized to meet the unique needs of each patient.

Physical Therapy

At Olympic Sports & Spine, the focus is orthopedics. Orthopedic rehabilitation addresses injury and disease that affects bone, muscle, tendon, ligament and joints.

Occupational Therapy

Occupational therapy focuses on the restoration of function, helping people regain the ability to perform work, recreational and everyday activities.

Massage Therapy

Massage Therapy effectively reduces musculoskeletal pain, improves function and facilities healing.

Baseline Concussion Testing

OSS will be transitioning to a new method of providing Baseline Concussion Tests. As of this transition, Baseline Concussion Tests are no longer required to try out in the Puyallup School District. They will be performed at the school during the first 2 weeks of the specific sports season.

Aquatic Therapy

Aquatic Therapy harnesses the advantages of the buoyant water environment to reduce the stress on joints and protects structures that may be vulnerable after an injury of surgery.

Athletic Training

Our team of Certified Athletic Trainers and PTs provided care for athletes of all ages, sports and abilities. From little league pitchers, to high school quarterbacks, to adult rock climbers, and senior endurance athletes, if they’re out there, we’ve seen them.

Bloodflow Restriction Therapy

Blood Flow Restriction (BFR) therapy is the application of a specialized blood pressure cuff to the upper arm or upper leg which results in a restriction of blood flow and oxygen to the affected limb. BRF can be performed at rest or during exercise.

Cancer Rehabilitation

Cancer Rehabilitation is provided by specially trained physical therapists, prepared to both assess cancer patients and design effective treatment programs specific to each patient’s diagnosis, functional abilities, physical limitations, and symptoms.

Concussion

Physical therapists evaluate and treat patients suffering from concussion related impairment. The process begins with an examination of the neurological, orthopedic, and cardiovascular systems, and based on the findings, an individualized treatment plan is created.

Custom Foot Orthotics

Custom foot orthotics are “shoe inserts” fabricated to compensate for specific biomechanical faults. A custom orthotic limits the mechanical stress placed on the soft tissues and joints, thereby limiting pain and disability.

Dry Needling

Dry Needling is an effective treatment for pain and limited range of motion and is widely available at Olympic Sports & Spine. Therapists who provide this service are certified to do so and have successfully completed advanced Dry Needling training.

Fall Prevention

The therapists at Olympic Sports & Spine are experts at evaluating the risk of falling by assessing balance, mobility and strength. We work with patients to develop an individualized treatment plan to reduce falling risks.

Hand Therapy

Hand Therapy is a highly specialized field offering expert rehabilitation for a wide variety of hand and upper extremity injuries and disorders.

Headache

Headaches due to musculoskeletal issues can be effectively treated by specialize physical therapy programs at Olympic Sports & Spine.

Industrial Rehab

Industrial Rehabilitation programs focus on the restoration of function using proven evaluation and conditioning methods.

Lymphedema

Lymphedema care at Olympic Sports & Spine is characterized by Complete Decongestive Therapy: The recognized “Gold Standard” for lymphedema therapy.

Pelvic Health

Physical Therapists offer the most effective, non-surgical treatment options for a wide variety of pelvic health disorders.

Temporomandibular

Early physical therapy intervention can stop the progression of Temporomandibular Dysfunction (TMD) and prevent chronic pain syndromes. Physical therapy is a conservative treatment approach that focuses on reducing pain and restoring normal function.

Vestibular Rehab

Vestibular Rehabilitation addresses dizziness and balance problems often due to a head injury, stroke or another medical condition.

Wheelchair Assessments

Olympic Sports & Spine’s Wheelchair Assessment Service is led by Occupational Therapists who help optimize the wheelchair for its user.
