Cost based on 2025 plans for a full-time employee; part-time employee benefits are prorated based on actual hours worked.

Medical/Pharmacy

OSS offers three (3) plans to choose from; employees are eligible on the 1st of the month following date of hire. OSS pays 100% of the employee's cost.

CIGNA-HSA

OPA Network: $2500 Individual/$5000 Family deductible plus $800 annual employer contribution to HSA account for employee only/$1100 for employee plus dependents.

CIGNA - LocalPlus Network

Exclusive Provider Network: $1000/$3000 deductible

CIGNA - Open Access Network

OPA Network: $2000/$6000 deductible

Dental

CIGNA - $1500 annual max/child orthodontia

Vision

Vision - VPS Choice Plan: $10 copay/annual eye exam/$150 hardware allowance

Life Insurance, AD&D and Long Term Disability

Life Insurance & AD&D insurance provided by Symetera

Employees are eligible on the 1st of the month following date of hire

  • $25,000 Term Life Policy with Accidental Death & Dismemberment benefit included; 100% paid by OSS
  • Optional Life Insurance may be purchased by employees

Long Term Disability

Provided by Symetra (Employees are eligible on the 1st of the month following date of hire)

  • LDT begins the 91st day of disability for all employees (managers it begins after the 31st day)
  • Benefit provides 60% of monthly salary up to a maximum of $6000
  • 100% paid by OSS

Employer & Employee Contributions to High Deductible Spending Account/HSA

  • Health Care (Maximum of $4,300Individual/$8,550 Family per plan year plus $1,000 catch-up age 55 and older)

125 Flexible Spending Account

Employees are eligible on the 1st day of the month following date of hire

  • Health Care (Maximum of $3,300 per plan year)
  • Dependent Care (Maximum of $5,000 per plan year)

Accident Insurance/Critical Illness/Hospital Indemnity Insurance

Provided by Symetra

Employees are eligible on the 1st day of the month following date of hire and have worked a minimum of 20 hours per week

  • 100% paid by employee

401(k) Savings Plan

  • Eligibility is immediate upon employment with OSS and enrollment is the 1st of the month following date of hire
  • Employer contributions/matches are discretionary each year; historically a match of 50% when employee contributes 6% of gross wages
  • Employee must be 21 years of age to participate in plan

PTO accrual begins on the first day of employment; however, it may not be used until your 90th day or employment.

Continuing Education

PT/OT/CHT/PTA/COTA/LMT/ATC will receive $2000 con-ed reimbursement annually. All providers except LMT will also receive an annual subscription to MedBridge, an online continuing education platform.

Holidays

Employees working full time will receive 8 hours of Holiday pay each holiday; an annual total of 64 hours of Holiday pay. Employees who work 20-35 hours per week will receive holiday on a prorated basis. Employees who work less than 20 hours per week are not eligible for holiday benefits. OSS recognized the following holidays:

  • New Year's Day
  • President's Day
  • Memorial Day
  • Independence Day
  • Labor Day
  • Thanksgiving Day (and the day after Thanksgiving)
  • Christmas Day

YMCA Discount

YMCA membership initiation fee of $100 for an individual will be waived for all OSS employees. You must apply only at any Pierce or Thurston County YMCA and must show proof of employment with OSS.
